Why is this alt text generator free?
Because you should be able to judge the output on your own images before paying anyone anything — us included. Every IP address gets 25 images free, with no account required. That is enough to test the generator on a genuine batch from your store, finish a small personal project, or clean up the alt text on a dozen blog posts.
Honest fine print: running AI on images costs real money per image, so the free tier is a one-time allowance rather than an unlimited service — it does not reset to 25 every month. It is meant for trying the tool and for small jobs. Is it really free?
Yes. Every visitor gets 25 images at no cost — no account, no email, no credit card. The tool works exactly the same as it does for paying users: same model, same quality, CSV export included. The free allowance is a one-time quota per IP address rather than a monthly renewal; it exists so you can test the output on a real batch before spending anything.
Do you store my images?
No — never. Uploaded files and pasted image URLs are used only to generate the text and are not saved anywhere. What can be stored is the text output itself: credit-pack users can look up their past text results by license key, those results are kept for 30 days and then automatically and permanently deleted. The images themselves are never part of that.
Which platforms does it work with?
Any platform that serves images over public URLs: Shopify's CDN, WooCommerce and WordPress uploads, BigCommerce, Squarespace, S3 and Cloudflare buckets, or plain links from your own site. You can also upload files directly (up to 8 MB each). The CSV export is a plain image-URL + alt-text table, so it merges cleanly into a Shopify product CSV or a WooCommerce import.
Do credit packs expire?
Never. Packs are one-time purchases — $3 for 50 images or $19 for 500 images — and the credits stay on your license key until you use them. There is no subscription to cancel and nothing renews automatically.
What happens when I hit the free limit?
The generator tells you clearly when the 25 free images are used up. Nothing is charged and nothing breaks — you simply buy a credit pack (from $3) if you want to continue. If the free tier already covered what you needed, you never see a paywall at all.
